Coincidence?

Well well. Got into the car this evening at Father-In-Laws and both dip-beams wouldn't light-up. Swapped the relay with the main beam (which was working) and still the same. Had to drive home in the dark on the Fog-Lights, not recommended! Got home and first test was to see how far the power was going with a Fluke. Power went all the way to the bulbs! Both bulbs gone at the same-time! 'Osram Nightbreakers' So replace both and all working fine again..........What's the chances? Or am I missing something?

I had something similar almost a year ago. No dipped headlights. Got the car home. checked fuses, relays, bulbs and switch - all apparently OK. Took the car to my mates to check continuity through cables (cos my arms weren't long enough. Turned on the lights and they worked perfectly and have done ever since!!!!!!!!!!!! Voodoo I expect

I had 3 n/s dipped bulbs fail in less than a week on my Scorpio a couple of years back...
