Good news is I bought an FDS for peanuts (cost more for the Dartford tunnel toll going to collect it Grin), bad news is it didn’t have the leads Sad - unless I feel like exploding an airbag Roll Eyes.
Initially it wouldn’t turn on even after waiting to see if the batteries would still charge, so I took a chance & pulled the battery pack in case it was dragging it down & it worked fine.
Don’t suppose I’ll be able to get a CPU lead to connect to the car, but if I do I’ll probably make up a battery pack out of NiMH tagged sub C batteries, unless anyone’s tried & knows they’re not suitable. I know there’s a lot of chat about whether or not you should use them on systems designed for NiCd but I think it’s a case of try it & see.

By the way there are further manual downloads on the site Highlander posted, I’ve posted here:

Grin I'm just going to sit back and wait for you to 'modify' and 'improve' the FDS because as sure as night follows day you'll have to have a go!! Good luck with it Dave. As for the lead if we have members,as we do, with the leads could you not get the 'circuit' details that way?. The connector from a cheap scanner would fit the diagnostic port wouldn't it?.  Wink

About to pull it apart now for something to do Roll Eyes
I would imagine the circuitry in the lead is beyond me. Probably wouldn't be able to get the correct plugs at the FDS end - but could probably make something out of wood Grin
