I have just received two key fobs back from Phil Heap in Cumbria. The photograph shows the difference between an old one..on the right..and a refurbished one. You will see that the refurbished one has been fitted with three micro switches which, as previous members have reported, give a really positive 'feel' when used.
The skill in doing this simply amazes me!
Phil has asked me to say that his current charge for doing these fobs is £16.

That's a great thing to remember for the future. I managed to get a Ford Mustang one from the USA for $15 including postage. The only thing is it's got the Lock/Unlock, but the boot release is called 'Panic'.

Update. Phil also tells me that he does the 'new style' Ford keys so he's clearly worth contacting for other makes should the need arise.

Philip never got back to me re- to repair the key fob, so I have repaired it my-self to the exact spec as the picture, it was a little tricky but it works fine.
