It's always a great victory to get yer 'pride-and-joy' through the dreaded MOT. More so now than ever before because there is virtually no lee-way. But realistically, would any of us want to run our car on the road without a 'proper' MOT? That's where the 1959 MOT has come into being. Lets hope that's there's a Scorpio out there that will last as long as these old Zodiac Mk2's to NOT have to go through an MOT because of the real history of the car.

I have three MOT and VEL exempt vehicles on the road PJ,I make very sure that they are up to the mark, one of them is a 1969 Dennis fire engine which has exemption because of what it is,when it was with the Cheshire Fire Brigade it would have been wastefully over maintained, however having been out of service for a long time there were virtually no brakes, the main vacuum hose from the engine to the servos (one of which was leaking fluid) had collapsed internally thus intermittently cutting off the supply, the rear roadsprings had multiple broken leaves, someone had put steel strips either side of the springs connected by long bolts to hold the leaves in place. And in a non MOT related situation, when I removed the sump plug,a big black sausage appeared for some length before oil appeared. This vehicle had been visiting various shows in that horrible state It would be difficult to discover if people who take to the road, particularly with a six ton vehicle,do so out of a lack of knowledge or just a total disregard for the rest of us SIMMO I am very pleased your chariot is trundling again,it'll see you out yet

| Thank you Gozz. I'd like to think it's the other way round but either way it's great to have got it through.
