Another MoT Pass!

As per previous Scorpioneers, I too am happy to share my good news!
My R reg 2.3 Ghia X estate passed the test today. One very annoying but minor advisory, a split in one of the ball joint rubber boots. At least it is an easy fix.
It was supposed to be MoT'd on Monday but a series of stupid, annoying incidents delayed my progress to the MoT station and as the journey progressed it became obvious that the slightly annoying knock from the front would need attention, so I had to call in and cancel the MoT.
The knock turned out to be a drop link, luckily I kept a spare. I rebooked the MoT for today and I guess my Scorpio was simply trying to tell me she wasn't quite ready!
When the MoT tester came to tell me the news, with fear and trepidation I asked how it went. All good he said, except (uh-oh) the ball joint (aargh you gotta be kidding me they're new wishbones, no, no, no, no, no... ) rubber boot is slightly torn. Phew, is that it? I don't believe it, the handbrake worked? No rusty brake pipes? Yahoooo!
I bought them all lunch. Bacon rolls all round

You're lucky - split ball joint boots are now a failure item so you're fortunate to get away with an advisory.

I know, I do have a very good, understanding MoT man. He said it was a small tear and not gaping open and he knows I will get it sorted asap. I've put a lot of work into this car, particularly the last year, so I am well chuffed
