I'm an OAP !

I am pleased to report that my 2.0ltr estate passed it's MOT yesterday. 
I had to replace the front wishbones as the FNS ball joint had gone. I had obtained the parts some while ago as I knew it was a possibility. I also replaced the rear Monroe shock absorbers as the lower bush had gone on the NS one.
Finally I replaced the ROS calliper as the handbrake mechanism on that side was prone to sticking on.
I was fortunate to get my MOT guy to do a 'check' about a month ago and it clearly showed a big imbalance on the handbrake so although it would have passed it had annoyed me once too often. 
I now have a ticket for 13 months. Yeeessss! 
In reading this for the sake of honesty 'I' as it relates to the physical work refers to my friendly mechanic!

Another one passes! Hooray! Well done. Mines coming up in about Seven weeks, just got to change the petrol tank (I've got a new one) and the discs and pads all-round. Hopefully then it'll get through.

Thanks Glyn. Good luck to you too. I got the bumper off today, and realised I'll also be best removing the draw-bar of the tow-bar.................what a blasted nuisance! I'll need to paint the new tank first. Oh well, I've got till 20th July.
