My trusty Scorpio 2.3 Ultima has now got a 13 month ticket.   Another year of motoring almost guaranteed.   I'm very happy.   Work to do, rear wheel-arch replacement, and looking at replacement sills, or at least hitting them hard enough with a hammer to know where to patch them properly!   Ah-yes, it's 'dry-dock' just now, AC pump beggered!   New pump for about £85.    Then a re-gas!   Jaguar just passed it's MOT as well, same, sailed through.   I'm fairly chuffed.   Smiley Smiley

Glad to hear of another stalwart hanging on and keeping one going. I only drop in here occasionally now, but I'm still at it, albeit sporadically, as I'm working abroad which zeroes your life back home. I still have two, the well known pepper red one (2.3) and a green Cosworth. This has been completely stripped and rebuilt (not by me) so I am hoping it will survive and not blossom. The red one is awaiting a new bonnet following a front end roundabout prang (thank you the wife), but remains in fine condition. The green one has a drooping head cloth which makes it look awful, and the AC compressor drive belt has disappeared, guess it snapped and fell off. There are disconcerting noises from behind the dash which I think will turn out to be a disconnected air duct, but I have no time to address that until my current work ends. Otherwise it seems to behave.
I find I am unable to raise any enthusiasm for spending money on a replacement for the Scorp as very few newer cars appear to offer any improvement on what we have in our old barges.
Happy motoring all.

Congratulations Peter, there's not many left now. Young guy who did my MOT on Wed had never hear of them or seen one before and was impressed that something that old was so well equipped.
