Here we are again!   Unfortunately my Scorpio just in the last couple of weeks has started to rumble a bit on right-handers.   This lead me to believe, (correctly after checking about Ten minutes ago)  that the ball-joint on the end of the Off-Side wishbone is on the way out again.   I bought a pair of these ones from Germany only Two years ago, (link to thread below)

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=news;action=disp lay;num=1315657545

After less than Two years, and just 11 thousand miles, the right one is not good, and the left one is starting to 'click'.   I won't be buying those ones again.

Just thought I'd give you's all a heads-up.

Genuine Ford are now £172 each plus postage, and NOT including large rear bush!   I'm looking at a USA site that is selling Ford ones knocked down from $143 to...............(wait for it) $43.99 plus carriage!   But they say nothing about postage to Scotland, so I've contacted them!

I'm reluctant to say really.   Mainly because I don't want to miss out in case they only have a couple left.   I'll keep you posted should they decide they can ship to UK.

So far as bringing in items from the U S A dont forget the dreaded customs and the £8 royal mail charge. If the guys on ebay get him to sell that way using "Global shipping" all tracked and signed all the way.
Not telling you what to do but I have been bitten on customs charges before.

Hi Peter

I don't need any as I have only just replaced mine with the genuine Ford ones. Yes they were expensive but (hopefully) will last longer than the cheaper ones QH?? fitted previously. I am sure you will agree that doing the job once @ £172 ish is better than doing it twice @ £90 ish.   Grin Grin

I was just curious as to what US car they were for.

Seasons greetings to to you and yours

Tony

BTW do you still repair the LED's in the switches? I mean the HRW and HFS switches. You did my heated seat switches a year or two ago and they are still working fine.

Hi Tony

Glad to hear the Led's are still working.   I think you and me are the ONLY Scorpio owners with them!   I can't do them anymore, because I have no switches.   I don't even know whether I remember what I did now!   Smiley

I totally agree with what you say regarding buying once at £175, rather than twice at £90.   The USA site states they are FORD items OE, and from a Scorpio Ultima 2.5 Diesel 1994-1998.   Even has the right Ford number, 7372346 and 7372345.   I fear there must be a catch, I await to hear from them.
