I got my 2.3 Ultima back from the garage today after it went in for some jobs and making good some of the things that the welding Herbert did earlier in the year. It took a little while as it went into the Back Burner zone, then had to return for snagging on the snagging. Anyway it's now got: Very smart new plates New pads and discs Sill and window trims bodged back on by Herbert refitted Rear electric window motor repaired Aftermarket parking sensors working Sunroof greased and channels cleared PAS leak fixed Dash top refixed Radio working on all speakers Keyfob working Heated front screen diagnosed as glass It wants some of the welding making good for next MoT in March, but other than a clean it is ready for Bromley Pageant on Sunday, looking forward to it

Hi Gerald, I am thinking about it, looks like Quentin is trying to get a space there but haven't heard more. I was wondering if I should "pop out" for the event and just park locally, don't even know which car to take as MOT time for the cos saloon in the near future, Perchance to meet there (has a rail station - just - as it fell in the sea a few years ago) or will you take your cossie? Roy Perhaps other "locals" may be interested

Hi Roy, I dont think I will be going, would cost me about £70 in petrol. There are a couple of shows here in cornwall, wheels in Wadebridge and West of England Steam Rally, both very good shows. Gerald

OK me on my tod perchance! Still not sure to go or not, the Torbay show is on soon but I don't qualify (well I do at 67 but the car is only 24 and one ear short). Details on the Cornwall sites would be good perhaps others who read this may have interest also. R BTW for the Debn types this is on at local Donkey Snnctuary early July https://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/events/07-07-2019/car-show thought I'd giver it a mention as it's a non rip off entry place doing good for Donkeys from around the world.

My entry for Dawlish was accepted, now looking at the closing date I'm surprised to see it was 21st June but they might be flexible as that's a month before the event, the contact email address is johncorah@yahoo.com. Usual conditions where they ask you to arrive by 10 and not leave until 4, though in practice I often find people start to go earlier. Will happily scan an entry form and email it if you wish. I'll check back tomorrow. Never thought about the cost of fuel for going to Devon, just as well really as it's going to be a fair bit, never mind. The Bromley outing was a success, good show with no problems other than a little water leak into the footwell from the previous nights wash. Got the long term mpg up to 26. No other Scorpios at the show unfortunately but four Granada Mk3s including a Granada Scorpio that first took to the road in 2017. There was a fair bit of interest in mine.
