My car came back from the garage earlier in the week, appears to have been a successful visit and bill not as big as I feared either.
The welding has been properly finished off and rustproofed so should be no fears on the next MoT or beyond
The door trim and bin has been fixed back on properly
The seat height adjuster is now working
The battery drains have been cleared - which seems to have stopped the footwell leak, fingers crossed - and a new battery fitted
The front doors now open properly
The sill weatherseal is properly fitted
The headlight washers are working
The ABS lights didn't come on but they say the rear sensors are corroded, they are pricing for me

So the only jobs left to do at present, that are worth doing, are the two wheels that could do with refurbishing and the erratic radio
speakers. And the only snagging issue now left over from the original welding is the damaged driver's window trim.

That said I think it feels a bit more floppy than it should, not sure if that is springs or shocks or something else. I am going to use it more regularly for a while and see how I get on

Which bit of trim on the drivers side window do you need ?
Got a feeling I have a complete spare set somewhere.

It is the piece that runs right round the door frame from the back top of the window to the back bottom, passing round the front of the door mirror assembly, it has a gloss black insert in rubber.

Also the piece that goes around the outside perimeter of the window glass itself.

Both were damaged by the welder when he was reassembling the car.

Many thanks.

Perhaps the pictures here will help identify the parts you want:

Thanks, it does, it's the parts numbered 12 and 13. I was able to copy out the diagram as well so I can print and use it.
