Hello to all.

I have received an e'mail from Neil Hennessy, he is the proud owner of a Cosworth.   Apparently he has tried to join the forum, but with no success so far.   He has a problem with his Cossie, I shall put it below.   I have also passed on Roy's name, as an active member, Hope that's ok Roy.

Neils problem:-

I’ve recently bought a Scorpio cosworth which won’t start. I found that fuse F37 engine management fuse had blown and kept blowing, I traced this to a chafing wire and I’ve now fixed it.  When you turn the ignition to position 2,  all the lights on the dash come on but the fuel pump isn’t running. Although the pats led isn’t on, I believe it may be pats related. I don’t think the fuel pump relay is getting the signal from the PCM.   When you turn the key to position 3, nothing else happens, no starter etc.  It’s as if it is immobilized, but the pats led doesn’t indicate that and there is no pats code.

I have made a couple of suggestions, but I don't think what I have said will fix the problem.

Could someone please help further, and maybe help Neil join.   His e'mail addy is:-

Hi Roy, good to hear from you.   That guys e'mail addy is in the ditti above, perhaps contact him.   Neil Hennessy.   I thought you got a power-steering pump and reservoir when Movvy went to you?   I think all the pipes were attached?

I was hoping Simmo or Tompion might have read this by now, and be able to contact the chap and get him on the forum.   Dave2302 on this forum, he might know of a power-steering pipe.   Have you looked into getting one made?   Shouldn't be that costly.

Cheers for now.

Peter

Best bet for the pipe is to get it repaired, hydralic pipe specialist / tractor shop can make one up.
