Right my scorpio got rear ended the pics are on another post. It was in a Ford Garage for over a week when i got the car back the air bag light started to come on ??? took it back to ford there sent away for the part when there took the dash apart there found the lead to be out :o there put it back in and not the controler on my steering coloum doesent work for the radio its the 2007 modle so i took it back yesterday and this dude at ford said it was the wrong radio for the car well that radio has been in there since the car was built in 1995 its going back on monday to work out what is the problem also this dude had the dash in bits and the plugs for the controler are all in ??? any way so far the cost of the rear end repair from ford is 1600quid for a 95M Reg 2.0 16v Scorpio i think its worth more than the car :D but i want my radio to be working cos it was working when i left the car to ford and there basicaly broke it i am getting a bit fed up of the customer service and well i am just wondering if any of you people on this site can tell me whats wrong with my radio i no its the 2007 modle but it should be working with the controle on the steering coloum because it was working in the 1st place untill FORD looked at it many thanks Whits ;)

Hi Whits_ ... it's worth reading a couple of daven's posts re the 2007 upgrade and the problem he had with the earth lead at the cd player causing ..no remote stalk function !! ..I'm just thinking along the lines that the rear ender you just had ..and the Ford guys messing may well have disturbed it up the back ..not up the front where they are now looking ... worth a peek anyway ... STN

ford have done something when they had the dash apart. as you said it was the correct radio for the year. see http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/specifications.htm
insist they fix the problem.

stn is correct in thinking about the rear end. i should have remembered dave's problems!

Hi Whits,

Tell us a bit more about the radio - does it work at all, does the cd and radio work, but not with the stalk on the column (which is what happend with mine and the bad earth problem!)?

Could the RIM have been disconnected?

Seen your other post - how did you get on, FMD giving out free bull again? ;D
