I am looking to install a bonnet scoop and vents on my Scorpio. I spoke with a garage and they said that they do not recommend cutting the bonnet unless it is designed to have scoops and vents on. Has anyone done this already or does anyone know if the bonnet will be able to take it?

The bonnet will take it, it all depends how you cut it, anything hot such as a grinder may distort it, only way really is a nibbler. at least thats how we used to do it when I was in the body trade. not sure how you would get on with a 'rotozip' as ive never tried one but either way, its not a job for the fainthearted!
I dont know if theres still sunroof fitters about but they might be able to help you if you can find one.
If you are doing it yourself i would certainly practice on a couple of scrappers first!
The other thing of course is that the bonnet is designed with 'crumple zones' which are deliberately weakened parts of the frame designed to make the bonnet collapse in a certain way in a head on collision, ie, to stop it going through the windscreen and cutting holes in it can alter the strength of it.
Alltogether not really advisable but thats just my opinion!

Just remember if water is forced in and comes into contact with electrics it could cause you a lot of problems
