price reflects on condition, mileage etc.etc,on a personal level,i think the 2.3 is basically a pretty reliable car, however do check for loom damage, and as with all scorpios, there is alot of electrical gadgetry on these cars, check all that works,if you have your eye on one, test drive it,check the history, possibly try contacting the previous owner, and go with your heart, dont forget "when buying a used car,it is always a buyers market",there is always another one around the corner......
good luck...

Chaz,
Check out http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/advice.htm
- all you need to know about buying the Scorpio.

Good luck. The 2.3 is a lovely car and would be my next choice after the Cosworth.   :D

Thanks chaps, am picking up the said car. Drives nice, smooth changes(auto) engine is smoke and rattle free. I have given £1300 for it, mileage is average for age.
