i have cleaned the maf and idle cont valve but from cold the car will not tickover but starts first time without a problem cold or warm. when it is warm it is fine perfect idle no problems any ideas could it be the idle cont valve ???

Hello,

Check airleaks between inlet manifold and head.
When the engine warms up the cap closes by thermal expansion. That give me a few months of work in my 91 DOHC before i found it.

all fixed now it was a faulty idle valve ;D ;D
