Title: Re: Changing auto box fluid Post by scorpio_man on Nov 12th, 2004, 3:23pm hi there you can only change about 1/2 of the fluid as the rest stays in the torque convertor. there should be no problem bar it being a bit messy. remember to change the filter at the same time. |

Title: Re: Changing auto box fluid Post by Fitzy on Nov 12th, 2004, 3:32pm You could go to an auto specialist, they use a machine to suck out all the tranny fluid including the torque convertor then you can refill the whole system. they should be in the yellow pages. HTH Fitzy ;) ;D ;) |

Title: Re: Changing auto box fluid Post by nick on Nov 13th, 2004, 3:00pm The auto box pipes to the cooler are the weak link, watch if they are crusty. If they look iffy you can still get them from ford for around £80 for the set, the pressure in the pipes and the box is high, so check them as well while you are on Nic |

Title: Re: Changing auto box fluid Post by Snoopy on Nov 15th, 2004, 5:48pm If you cannot get the proper pipes then it is posible to replace with amoured hydraulic pipe and get the clips as well .... Just cut cack to a good section of pipe.... Someone onhere has recently done justthat at a fraction of the cost... |

Title: Re: Changing auto box fluid Post by bertie on Nov 15th, 2004, 9:24pm Geordievinn if you do break the pipes, go to Pirtek on the team valley and they will make a set for £12...take the metal end bits along with you and the desired lengths...simple as that... Simon |
