Title: Software updates Post by EinA on Dec 22nd, 2004, 4:19am Hi all, I've read about the software update for engine control and the one about flashing indicators when remote locking (swiss setting?). Is there one for headlamps still on with ingition switched off ??? or is / was / could be a electrical function like on my Granada David |

Title: Re: Software updates Post by EinA on Dec 26th, 2004, 4:53pm Finally got around to checking (delay due to other problems) With the engine switched off, the headlamps are switched off, but no chiming. Alough my car is a 2.9 24V cossie its only a Ghia. So maybe its a Ultima feature. But no mention in the sites model equipment specs. Any other Ghia owners have / have not "headlamps forget" feature? David P.S. anybody know is there any other possible software enabled features |

Title: Re: Software updates Post by Snoopy on Dec 26th, 2004, 8:08pm You will only get the 'chiming' if you leave the lights on and open the drivers door.. its to remind you to switch the lights OFF,.... there is a park position for the lights on the switch ... turn it fully to he left...... Title: Re: Software updates Post by EinA on Dec 27th, 2004, 6:57pm Yep the problem includes the door being open. I forgot to mention it and I've just been outside to double check :) And the door switch does operate the internal lights as per normal. It seems a similar discussion is going on in the problems forum- "lights left on warning sound" I just really wanted to find out if it’s an electrical feature like my Granada or is it a software feature on the Scorpio. Or if it has its own chimer then it might be an electrical fault. David |
