Title: Washer Jets
Post by Paul B on Dec 29th, 2004, 2:26pm
I have a small problem with my main washer jets. Well, one of them anyway. It appears to be blocked.

Got 3 working perfectly well but that one is winding me up now.  >:(

Done the poking with a pin bit, but no matter how much I do that, it remains in-operative.

Any tips?

Try actually removing it and then cleaning it out... A back flush should work but if its off the car and in your hands then its musch easier to get at and clean.. Its obvioulsy blocked quite badly.... thats what I would do any way.. or get a ' new' one from the local scrap yard or BAZ .....

try using a air gun if you can get hold of one, if not as snoopy says take it off

I did think about taking it off for a look, but... how do they come off exactly?

Never done it before so excuse my stupidity  ::)

Blimey, and I was poised with a flat blade screwdriver to do just that!   :o  ;)

Cheers though Craig. I will have a pop at that tomorrow... after I've sorted the handbrake out  :-/

On the same subject ,  are the screen washers nozzles  electrically heated ?  if so,  how are they switched on ?
