I have a 97 2.3 16v auto ultima, should the front ashtray light up, if so can anyone tell me how to get it out and change the bulb

Hi Roy,
I had reason to take the ash tray out of my 2.5TD 95 ultima (to retrieve credit cards that had slipped into the back of it) and the only wiring going to the whole unit was for the cigerette lighter. You could always try to mod it.
