MM that Save the Night just beat me to it!!. I did mine a few days ago and it appears to have helped the fuel economy. I found a can of Carb cleaner in a 'Trading for You' branch for £3. Even an OAP like me did it easily!!. Good luck,

Just done mine yesterday, I tend to take off the ICV at the same time and give that a good squirt with the carb cleaner.
Always seems to make it run sweeter... ;D

just a note ... whilst cleaning the MAF then it also is worth squirting the TPS ..throttle position sensor at the same time < contact cleaner >... the Scorps don't suffer tooo much from it ..but the older Granadas gave the same probs as we suffer from the MAF .. STN

i was passing a large Halfords last week and went into to get some of that Carb cleaner.
I looked and looked and looked but could not see any.
But there was no one around to ask.
So what colour is the container and what does it say on the lable.
do you think Ford partsUK would sell it.
Can't see any on Ebay.

carb cleaner is available in most accessory shops jv .. and it's caled ... errr carburettor cleaner .. hmmm ... brake cleaner does exactly the same job .. use anything like an ether based cleaner that cleans .. dries ..and leaves no residue .. if you really can't find any I will send you a tin .. Motax ... Greased lightning .. Wurth .. pro-chem .. to name but a few .......STN

ok guys all done engine idles purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect now time to take it for a spin 1 job down 4 to go ???????? ;D
