Can someone thell me what automatic gearbox fluid to buy I am going to change the oil and filter this weekend but don't want to pay for Ford oil.
My Scorpio uses the Ford WSS-M2C202-B oil is this Dextron type or not ??????

DEXRON 3 or 4 will meet the FORD Specifications....

I changed the auto filter and fluid over the weekend and wasn't expecting there to be much difference in the noise from the box (wine in first gear 100,000miles ) but it's now quite in all gears....just like new......

And got a bargain with the oil used Commer AQM (Dexron II) 5lts for £11.

did you use dextron 2?????i am sure it has to be 3 or 4 ???gaz

hi keith

just wondering what your oil was like before you changed it i have a noisy first gear aswell might be worth an oil change before i do anything else

The oil wasn't too discoloured thats why I didn't think it was going to make much difference but it did.....but don't make the same mistake as me make sure you use the right oil I used AQM and have now to change it for AQ3 (Dexron 3) this time £20.
