Hi All - Can any member suggest a broker where they have been quoted a good price to insure a scorpio for fully comp cover?  So far Norwich Union have quoted me (happy) for £630.99 fully comp with no no-claims bonus (I haven't owned a car for 4 years!). This is the best price to date. Can this be beaten?
Spec of car = 2.3 16V Ultima 4dr auto.
Rgds,
:D

Try LLoyds /TSB - If you tell them you have a quote - they can normally beat it.

I originally had a quote for GBP 550 - without any No Claims Bonus - Lived out of UK as expatriate

Called LLOyds/TSB they quoted me very happy GBP 470 pounds

Yes I throught it would not be long before insurance came up again.
But this time I can't be blamed fot mentioning the name Norwich Union, because it was not me this time.
But Sorry I don't know about prices where you have no NCB.
But have you not been driving abroad, if so, don't insurance companies  in this country reconize this.
Anyway I pay £ 296 for my 2.3 car. with 200 excess and protected NCB.

I was Norwhich Union  for my scorp.... however the best advice is going to be "get on the fone and ring around"

Cheers Nick ;)

Pay a visit to www.confused.com . You enter your details once and they will get you quotes from loads of insurers inc. Norwich Union. It's a bit like being your own broker. You'll be amazed how much the quotes will vary - possibly by more than £200!

ha, but are the terms the same for both. I can knock £80 off my insurance in one go by changing to excess of  £500.  and get it down even further by agreeing to this that and the other.
It pays to sit down with a sheet of paper and list all from both companies side by side to see just what you are paying for.

Caramba!!

        £500 excess ?

What's the point of insuring a vehicle , if you're gonna shell out yourself ?

well you need to insure by law in case you kill or injure someone or to a lessor exstent damage their property.
I been driving since age 17. never made a single claim. so touch wood I am considered a good risk.
But add it up.
Say in 5 years you save £80 that's £400 in ten years of no claims £800.
Its all a case of how you view risk, as regards your personal circumstances.
but i have protected NCB, so if my car is vanalised or indeed stolen, I won't lose my NCB.
