Title: John v insurance
Post by derekne on Mar 7th, 2005, 2:54pm
I was on Norwich Union site getting a quote for my scorp.
When completeing on line form it asks what sort of body my car has? In the colum of choosing my car 2.3 ect. It has body then (SE) OR (4) What is SE or 4?
Got me really guessing I didnt know what to put.
I looked on my v5 but guess what? It doesnt even have any of the SE or 4 in any of the full v5 sheet I have.
So what is body se or 4? I have the 2.3 DOHC 1997 Saloon.
Cheers...

well all i know is that it normally refers to the car as 4 door and the estate as 5 door.
don't know what SE means. hey would the E stand for Estate but whats the S for, sorry I don't know. I would just enter 4 to get a price then if you going to insure with then, phone then and ask
If you go to www.parkers.com they might give that. it lists all the models there are.
But hey there are much better companies out there than Norwich Union.

Hi,

Don't SE mean Sedan, and the 4 for 4 doors, so SE 4 = 4 door Sedan. (in english 4 door saloon)

8) ;D 8) ;D 8)

Could you have mis-read 5E for 5-door estate?

that makes a lot of good sence. but why would a uk application list usa cars.
Hey where that chap gone. I just remembered. Try either Sainsbury Bank or Tesco Insurance they will quote you the same as they both use Ensure.
Don't forget, when that chap ran into the back of me and he was insured with Sainsbury's within two hours Sainsbury had made contact with me, without me having to go after them.
I throught that so good.
And I was gob-smarked, they straight away admitted their liability and said they would see me alright.
They gave me a brand new hire car free, would not hear of me going home on buses.
They are phoning me every week to check out how I am, I was not hurt but they keep checking.
Brilliant insurance company, and cheap, its worth getting a quote . I still can't get me head to understand people placing their business, with companies that keep coming up again and again for their bad service to others. But I do reconize everyone is entitled to make their own choice.
If I leave Saga I would go straight to them no messing.

hey badboytunes. It was not me. honest. I never started it.
I just trying to help this chap not only save some money but not be in the position that poor student was in on this site and which others have found out to their cost, when misfortune has come their way.
When something bad happens to you, the last thing you want is some insurance company telling you, they not going to pay out.
But I do take the point, that some people find Norwich Union OK. good luck to them, but I believe in supporting the good with my business and not the others.

that's alright, badboytunes  i realised that. i think the insurance issue that get some others mad is not people asking for quotes and applications, but when its about insurance companies not paying out.
i think i know why but i not going to say it.
