Title: Lamda voltage?
Post by wudz on Mar 27th, 2005, 10:13pm
Hi all,

Could anybody tell me what voltage the lamda sensor works at.

I am thinking of fitting a LPG system and a mate of mine has redundant system, but the feedback thingy majig is missing.
You can see I am fully up to speed with all the relevant terminology....Hi

Cheers

John

the scorps are fitted with 0-1v sensors. hope that helps, any other info about LPG just ask me.

Cheers Martin,
I like to get my head around most things and partly understand the arrangement needed for an installation.
I have done quite a bit of plumbing in the past and quite a few years with electronics, but never seen I schematic of a closed loop system, in fact any system.
Then added to this is the fact that I am a new owner of this electronic Scorpio machine and very impressed with the system used...knowing to well problems associated with low voltages and plugs and sockets before adding on the enviroment the are being used in...added to that the age of the car.....So it is great that there is an avid and enthusiastic membership with quite a bit of expertise amongst them....GREAT
I have looked at the sites pages on the LPG installations and this has helped..it's just that I need to know more, because if I do not use my mates system or part of it..I would like to know what is the compatability of different bits and pieces, especially this emulator, some mention programing and some don't..very confusing...

So Martin I will for sure want to pick your brains over the coming months....

Cheers

John

the emulator sends a false signal back to the cars ECU so that it thinks the injectors are still fireing, dont need any programing, sometimes may have to alter pin switches on them.
the bit that needs the programming is the control unit, on closed loop its just a matter of inputting the vehicle parameters, on multi point & sequential theres a bit more setup to be done.
