Title: petrol prices
Post by bobtheyop on Apr 7th, 2005, 10:19pm
hello gang,

just a warning about fuel prices,i've been talking to a few hauliers today and there is a lot of unrest in south wales and in the north about the rising price of diesel,
keep an eye on the situation and fill your tanks up (if
financially possible) just in case,

regards,
bob.

From what I've read in the papers recently, the cost of oil has reached yet another all time high in the markets and this is filtering through with higher pump prices......would you believe one of the reasons given is the 'expected' rise in demand for oil in America...the land of the
$1 gallon!!......and then we have to pay the price...literally!!........price of fuel make me want to spit....'experts' reckon it will hit 86p/lt before it starts to fall.....80% of it tax!!....AAARRRGGGHHHH

84.9p  at my  local  pump,   it would  be almost  cheaper to  convert your car  to run on   Meths, Paraffin  or chip fat,   until  Gordon Brown   finds out   that is !!!

Run it on anything you like.. You still have to pay the tax if it's being used as a fuel!!

I wish it was $1 a Gallon!!! Gasoline prices around my area jumped from $1.89 a gallon 2 months ago to $2.39 now.

Granted fuel prices are higher in England. Just before I left Leeds a liter of regular unleaded was 1.90.

If things get any worse I’ll have to ditch the V8 :'( I might have to downgrade to a V6 or something  ;D ;D ;D

Ha, you are lucky in Florida

Here in NV land we hit $2.51 for regular and $2.71 for premium. They reckon it will exceed $3 in the summer. Have to laugh at all those gient pickups and SUVs getting 12mpg

Wel petrol over here in the Emarald Isle is not fairing out too bad. Tesco tonight was selling 1L of petrol for 85.9c - about 59p per litre. We make up for it big time with our outrageous road tax though!!!

Hi Steve,

and I thought we had it bad down hear :o :o :o.

I was in Miami a few weeks ago. The highest i saw it was $2.51 for regular.

The American AAA anounced two of the most reliable fuel efficient cars to be the VW Golf and the Ford Focus. I had a drive of the focus and i must say its a nice little car.

Have a nice day steve ;D

Yes id tank up a little if you can now.
However be warned after a couple of months the fuel starts to go off. So it must then be used. Some people dont realise the stuff can actually go off.
Thats one of the cons of having lpg (gas conversion)
I always carry fuel in the tank. Which doesnt get used that oftern. Just for starting and warming up first. So I normaly just have a little in the tank. I dont like the thought of my pump going crazy trying to pump the stuff around. Also sucking crap through the lines from the bottom of my tank. But I also dont fancy the stuff to go off in my tank.
Regards....
