Title: engine under tray
Post by webbo67 on Apr 20th, 2005, 1:44pm
Hi all
Just purchased an engine under tray and noticed that there are 16 fixing holes. 12 one size and 4  larger ones.
I purchased the fixing kit from ford parts uk and it contains only 10 fixing screws(all the same size). Just wondering if anyone knows if all 16 holes are used and if they aren't  then which 10 are.

Thanks
Andy

the tray mounts with just the 4 outer (large) holes, the others are there for the rivets that hold in the foam padding, you get 10 screws becaust that is the pack quantity.

On my 2ltr the tray fixes with only four screws as allready stated. If you look under the car there should be four red(in my case) nylon inserts in the chassis corresponding with the four holes in the tray. Push the tray at an angle up and over the mounting at the rear of the engine then slide forward to sit behind the bumper and locate the four torx screws as indicated, two each side.HTH.Simmo
