help !!! i am going to fit a new instrument panel (clocks ?) to my 24v,now is it the clocks which record the mileage or the car i.e e.c.u ?????  ??? cheers.gaz

It is the e.c.u that holds the mileage reading, hence someone can not clock the car just by changing the clocks as in the old days.

It should display the original mileage as soon as it is connected ;D

Hi guys,

Sorry to tell you but the ecu doesn't hold the mileage. It's held on a chip in the back of the instrument cluster so when you change the clocks you will change the mileage.
