Hi ya All,
I wonder if anyone can help me out here, is it my scorpio or does this happen to all scorpios...the boot wont open when the engine is running, this can be very annoying at times. ANY CLUES??????

yes boot won't open with engine running.probably to stop people pinching stuff at traffic lights....or to stop the kids escaping.!!

My estate is the same. There have been posts where the boot will open but it has been suggested that that is because they were taxis and perhaps modified.

I think you will find that the earlier models had the boot with engine running option fitted as standard, My 12v you CAn open the boot with the engine running, but the later ones it was modifed to stop this from being available as Simmo so rightly states as a safety measure... But it does vary from Model to model depending on age, another of the whims of the Scorpio .
