Hi can anyone tell me the differences between the scorpio 16V 2.0L and the RS2000 mk5/6 engine, and why the RS2 engine makes 150BHP and the Scorpio only has 136BHP?

Good question

I wonder where those other 14 horses are hiding, suspect cams, airflow, exhaust and ecu programming. But there are those on here who will have a better clue.

Guess they may be along shortly

deam, to late.. hehe, thats all the difference...
But i wonder whitsh one makes the most miles pr galon....??? (or liters pr 10km, if im gonna understand.. )

yeah me too mate it does seem strange on paper it looks like the rs2 engine is superior -
Max power 150 hp at 6000 rpm, max torque 190 Nm at 4500 rpm.
yet the scorpio engine - Power output (EEC) kW 100 (PS) (136) at rpm 6300 Torque (EEC) Nm 175 at rpm4200 is the later development ??? is it an MPG thing? or an emmisions thing? or is it just the lower compression engine makes a better drive in a larger car?

Ive just done a quick web search and come up with 1165KG - sound about right but that site also quotes the torque as 140Nm ???
