thinking caps on please. is the 2.9 12 valve engine fitted to the scorpio the same as the 2.9 which is fitted in the 93 granada scorpio. mate of mine has just blown his 93 engine up. bad enough trying to find scorpio's in scrap yards let alone granada's. if it is the same it will widen the search a little. :)

You could buy a 1989+ engine & build a 1993 spec engine up out of the two.
They are on ebay all the time.
Yes to your question by the way as long as it has CATs on it. If there is a difference it will be only bolt on stuff like the power steering pump, fan etc.

cheers howiedintheplace, he said it overheated then stopped. he also thinks there's a hole in the block or head so it sounds broken. and yes it did have a cat on it. cheers for that :)
