Do the scorpios have limited slip diffs? Especially the Cosworth?

I was reading the owners manual on this web site and it mentioned a LSD, but a viscous coupling type. Must be similar to that of the diff lock on post 89' Range Rovers. When you get wheel spin the liquid thickens and locks up the two prop shafts - in the Range Rover, not the scorp!
The LSD was mentioned about getting stuck in snow or something?! To let the wheel spin for 30 secs or so...presumably to 'thicken' the liquid?
Anyone confirm this?

SO is there a way to find out if there is a LSD or not (installed)  ? anyway the winter is on our doorsteps so will soon find out  ::)

Easyest way (but not the best) is to go to a large car park, and park, engage drive, turn full lock one way and boot it flat out. If you only have one wheel spinning, there is no LSD, if you have both rear wheels spinning you HAVE a LSD! ;D Not the safest or most technical method, but darn good fun ;)

Comming to think of till now all of my lost rubber was in "pairs of trails"......so maybe it has a LSD after all, but thers have to be a more scientific way  ;D

Jack the back of the car up and with the box in neutral turn one of the drive wheels, if the other one turns the opposite way you have no LSD, if it turns the same way you have LSD.

According to my man at Warley, Brentwood, (Ford HQ) Limited-Slip Diff was only available by specific request. - Not so much an optional extra, more an operational neccessity - such as vehicles intended for rallying in snow & mud etc.  To his knowledge it was only ever done on  manual gearbox models. He says he'd be highly surprised if anyone in UK has still got one.
