Title: Whats a good PX price
Post by nic on Oct 8th, 2005, 12:39pm
I have just been for a test drive as I am thinking of getting rid of the saloon, whats a good PX velue do you think.

Its a white r plate facelift 24v ghia x, 12 months test, 6 months tax, 4 new tryes, 137000 miles, history up to 120,000, in fair nic, slight crack to the back bumper and a couple of little scabs, wheel arch and one door. They offered me £1500ish against a 99 Jaguar XJR Supercharged, one owner 72000 with full Jag History, optional 18s, a really nice car in black with biscuit trim. is car is £8999, which I know is about a grand over priced.

What do you think guys??

By the way, im still keeping my estate, im not deserting them altogether, but i was tempted as he offered £2500 for the estate without seeing it.....

hi,
i think £1500 is a reasonable trade in price, you may get more if you hold out/shop around etc, but to me, i think its fair. you then dont have the hassle of selling advertising etc.

however, if you think the vehicle you want is £1000 overpriced, to me, i'd look at it as if i'm only getting £500 for it, and you know it is worth a lot more

also, consider the mark up, the dealer will put on your scorp. i bet it goes on his forecourt at around £2500.

dont you just love car dealers?
