upgraded to 2.3 auto est from 2.0 manual saloon what sort of mpg do you think it should do,it seems to do 4000 rpm at 80 mph, plus if you turn off o/d the revs dont seem to be any different .any suggestions

ps i drive 50 miles of dual carriageway twice aweek and its doing 23 average.

sounds like you don't have o/d (4th gear). :(

should get about 30mpg at that speed.

the od light was flashing the other night turn car off and it didnt come back on again but you can use switch to turn on/off,will have to get it looked at,the box was overhauled 25k ago.

hi there

it goes into top at about 50mph. you'll see the revs drop by about 500rpm.

or try at about 60 clicking od off should feel it and see revs rise

my figure of 30mpg is at 70mph.

Here's a link to some info I've been keeping on average mpg against average mph/journey using 97 0ctane

It'll obviously depend on the rpm used: the higher the rpm the lower the mpg. I run at 3000rpm at 80mph.

Hi Snoopy and ScorpioMan,

I've just successfully opened it via the link (and I said "No" to "update links?"). It is an Excel file so I guess you need some kind of spreadsheet program (if not Excel) to see it. If you have and still can't then I'm stumped. :(

NOR me, don't forget its YOUR web page that you are linking to and it may have YOUR cookies.... One suggestion right click on the file when you next go there and go to properties and copy THAT location and put that up it might be different.

I have MS Office Pro and use Excel so its NOT that. I cannot find the server
