Title: Re: litres per hour Post by Octavian_P on Nov 25th, 2005, 10:59pm Hello, my 2.3 manual does 0.8 - 1.2 liters per hour when idleing and 1.5-1.8 when AC kicks in. |

Title: Re: litres per hour Post by Baw_Flinger on Nov 26th, 2005, 2:12am my 2.3 gets about 23mpg average mostly around town with the odd 3 mile stretch of national speed limit. I was getting about 18-20 but then I added some fuel cleaner, the type that cleans the injectors. I am new to Scorps myself (since last week) so someone will no doubt kick in with some better info. |

Title: Re: litres per hour Post by solarpanel on Nov 26th, 2005, 8:04pm fired up 2.0 today that ran at 2.6 lph then fell to 0.8/1.0 lph when warmed up so will try thermostat on 2.3 |

Title: Re: litres per hour Post by Octavian_P on Nov 27th, 2005, 9:13am Forgot to mention that it takes 3-3.8 after a cold night, and warms up in about 5 minutes, after wich the above post continues. It's normal at the start to consume more fuel because of the electronic chocke system. The ICV pumps a lot o fuel at start-up to keep the engine running till it gets "warm", so you don't have to bother like in an old car to keep it reved till the engine gets warm and doesn't stall. Cheers |
