Title: Too much engine oil. Post by Pegasus on Dec 10th, 2005, 7:34pm Hi All, my local garage changed the oil the other day (Magnatec 5W/30) but seem to have over filled by about 500ml (they're usually v reliable) :-/ Is this enough to do any damage? The car never loses oil so its likely to stay high for the next 6 months. About half my mileage is A or M roads. Thanks Paul |

Title: Re: Too much engine oil. Post by Dave on Dec 11th, 2005, 12:48pm Agreed. Might be absolutely fine, but too much can cause gaskets to leak, or the oil to froth which then looses lubricity. Apparently ;) |
