I'm about to change the 2007RDS rad/cass in my April 94 facelift Granada. I bought one of those wiring adaptor kits from Halfords. All looks correct, except on the back of my RDS there is a yellow plug with a single black wire. No provision for this on adaptor kit. Does anyone know what this does or where it should go on my new player which is a sony unit.
The adaptor kit is a PC9-402 and the new rad/CD player is a Sony CDX 200GT if it helps.

When I fitted my cdx200 I just hooked up a feed to the speaker connectors on the built in ford amp, located the power (2) and earth wires on the black connector, and didn't bother with a halfords connector.

Not sure what the yellow connector does... Left it disconnected on mine. There's an excellent guide to replacing the ford head unit on this site somewhere if you search for it...

... but from memory you lose the remote stalk function if you use that Sony ... regards ... STN

Yes, that's the one... and yes you do lose the stalk though that never bothered me to be honest. Thanks for finding the link.
