Title: Not starting in very cold weather, ideas welcome Post by deefer on Jan 20th, 2006, 8:07am Hi, well it hit -30c last night and the scorio wouldn't start this morning. New battery, plugs and leads. It turns over well (for about 10 minutes before killing the battery, just doesn't fire up. Starts almost immediately with a tow. Any ideas what I can do to help starting in this extreme weather ? |

Title: Re: Not starting in very cold weather, ideas welco Post by Snoopy on Jan 20th, 2006, 8:11am get a heater kit, the battery is obvioulsy suffering in the very cold weather and the voltages are dropping below the acceptable levels when trying to start or get an additional battery to help with the starting. Or place one of those old type heaters under the sump over night they run on kerosene. like this one http://greenhousebrochures.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=220&osCsid=3405357604e2e79bbcafce51895a1e39 |
