Title: Mains powered DVD thru 12v/240v Inverter Post by leftofcentre on Jan 26th, 2006, 7:26pm Just an idea. If one was to wire an inverter into the car, would it be poss to use a mains powered DVD etc on the move? I guess a normal DVD player would jump all over the place on the road tho huh? |

Baz has been or is planning to experiment and I think a couple of the other guys are using mini pcs with wireless networks for music and stuff. |

Title: Re: Mains powered DVD thru 12v/240v Inverter Post by JohnJ on Jan 28th, 2006, 1:42pm You could have a small PC in the back with an external HD, for sotring and updating, wireless network for stopping at hot spots, outside someones house ;D, use winamp to play favouraite tunes and have a lovely 10inch touch screen on the dash, could aslo rig it to monitor you car engines perfomance through the data cable. there is endless use for this, also could be used to make mobile phone calls, Skype phone calls in hot spots, might do this myself, but you have to spend along time in the car, GPS AA autoroute beside your TV show. :) |
