Does the harness that connects to the fuel injectors have to connected in a particular sequence?

I notice that my harness did at soem point have some tags on each injector connector but these are mostly gone now and this got me to thinking that if (as in my case), they had been disconnected at any point, could they have been put back in the incorrect sequance?!

How does the number sequence run when you look at the engine form the front?

yes the 24v has sequential injection. o/s bank 123 from front, n/s bank 456.

injector wiring.

no1 violet/white, black/white
no2 violet/yellow, black/yellow
no3 violet/black, black/blue
no4 violet, black/orange
no5 violet/blue, black/green
no6 violet/orange, black/red

have'nt had time to sort your other bits out, wifes 24v spewed the auto box every where, just putting a new unit in in my spare time, hope to be done this afternoon.
