Just out of interest, does anyone know what the average life of the 24v autobox is in miles before failure?

Whats the longest record?  Anyone know?

Just trying to forecast the failure of my own!!

Fitting a biger oil cooler could help a lot when towing. The brake band will not burn in hot oil.

apparently, the a4lde was used in the metrocabs for a while, coupled to a transit 2.5di engine and they must have done huge mileages....
