Title: Wishbone Bushes Post by mr._floppy on Mar 7th, 2006, 6:09pm This has been covered many times I'm sure but, I have replaced both rear front lower wishbone bushes ( easy ) but still have a slight steering pull to the left, it looks as if I'll have to replace the front bushes too. I'm hesitating to pay £180 for two new wishbones when the trouble could be cured for £20, how difficult is it to remove and replace the bush from the old wishbone ? |

Title: Re: Wishbone Bushes Post by Octavian_P on Mar 7th, 2006, 7:14pm Hi Didn't understand perfectly but do you want to change the front wishbones for the bushes. I have changed the 2 bushes on my right front wishbone. It was pretty easy .....watching my mechanic strugleling with a hammer to get it of....and he forgot about the screw that fixes the "big one"- bush. The bushes aslo didn't cost a fortune about 30 euros per piece. |

Title: Re: Wishbone Bushes Post by Octavian_P on Mar 7th, 2006, 9:35pm It was kind of 50 - 50 i was the "brain" he was the "muscle" the problem was that he never saw a scorpio in his life.....although he's a good mechanic. I think that an estimative time for the operation it was about 2-3 hours including jacking up the car, changing brake disks and pads, steering rods, fuel filter, oil change....and a few more busches like thoes from the stabilizer bar. Cheers |
