hi all

just wandering if any one has tried upgrading the separate key and remote fob to one of the newer keys with the remote built in (like on the new fords e.g. http://i16.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/6a/28/c0_1_b.JPG)

if so do you just program it like you would with a spare key?

Don't have experience of these myself, but others have. Lots of other Ford (and others) remotes have been tried. The general opinion is that only our proper ones work.

a few years ago a fair old bit of work went into this very subject,and unfortunately there does not appear to be any other option other than the original scorpio one,transit ones,key ones (like the pic),ones from america and maplins were all explored,but to no avail.....

hey

thanks for the feed back guys, looks like i'll have to put up with the fob hitting my knee when i move my leg :P or remove it from the key ring and carry it separate

lol no but i am 6'2

it's every time i move to press the break the remote hits my knee, gets a bit annoying

I am the same height and large build too so long key-chains are very annoying for me too ;)
