Hi,

This week a Superchip for the Cosworth motor was sold on ebay for £122, did anyone on this forum buy it?

Was it worth the expense?

Craig as far as I know nobody does chips for the BOB engine.
Infact I don't think it can be chipped?

You can chip the old BOA 24V makes it smoother & a bit stronger in the mid range.

I even contacted the seller to verify that it was definitely for the BOB engine and he said yes ???

Possibly, but this is the standard packaging for the Superchips product.

If it is the real thing then i wouldn't mind seeing what difference makes if the buyer is on here. More power is always welcome ;D ;D ;D

Strange that the winning bidder has only ever bought from sellers in America for a variety of different cars and yet he bids on a chip from a seller in UK for a car which wasn't sold in US!!

Something fishy of a very fishy nature me thinks!

superchip can chip the BOB EEC .. but it's really not worth the suspect 10bhp ..and more likely 5bhp gain .... regards ...STN < usually around £200 squid >

I got a quote from turbo pacs to do mine and it came to £300.00 :o
The guy said I could get upto a 15bhp increase.
So I asked what I was actualy likely to get
His response was "the literature says it will be upto 15bhp mate"
My response was "see ya"
I reckon the 300 quid was better saved in a shoe box along with a bit more and wait for some proper goodies ;)

Well I was not aware of a chip for the BOB, sorry Craig.

Never heard of one, I thought they used that bluefin thing to reflash it?

As you can probably tell I don't use the STD management. ;D
