Hi peeps!! Does anyone know the color coding for the headlight plug wiring on a ultima?? I need to know which colour operates which part of the light!! Looking at the plugs so far, they look like different colors on each side!! Any help?? Thanks

Does this help. It says Sierra but it IS Scorpio. http://www.carsoft.ru/avtorepair/sierra_el.html.

i got this off the ford service cd, it may help (has some abbreviated wire colours

Different colours each side because each headlamp circuit has it's own fuse (one for RH, one for LH so that you've still got some lights even if a fuse blows).

Orange with blue or green stripe for sidelight (5W per side), violet with black or orange stripe for main beam, black for earth and the remaining colours (not shown) for dipped beam.
