Title: Wishbone Blues Post by mr._floppy on Apr 8th, 2006, 4:16pm I know this has been discussed before but maybe someone has a new angle on an old prob. Just spent 2 hours grappling, gouging, poking, cutting and , most of all , swearing trying to remove the front rubber bush. The victorious wishbone, tattered but unbowed has been refitted to the car cos I'm working to-morrow. :'( Before the much awaited rematch, penciled in for next weekend, maybe someone can suggest a strategy ( i'm not keen on burning them off ). Muchos Grassyars. |

Title: Re: Wishbone Blues Post by scorpio_man on Apr 8th, 2006, 5:23pm hi there easiest way is to burn them off. :) they're only on fire for about 5 mins, so no need to worry about metal fatigue, imo. hth |

Title: Re: Wishbone Blues Post by meg on Apr 8th, 2006, 9:59pm hi why not try and pull bushes out with short length of tube wide enough to pull bush into and a long bolt (high tensile)and a couple of washers to suit. replace in the same way. |

Title: Re: Wishbone Blues Post by mr._floppy on Apr 11th, 2006, 10:26am Thanks for the input chaps, I haven't got the time, patience ( or the skill ) :-/ and as I've had a good month for overtime, I'll just order a complete new wishbone, £100 from FPUK. |
