Hi has anybody managed to replace the cigarette lighter bulb without taking the whole ashtray out, or do you need to be some kind of double jointed freak to do that. ???

I believe you need to be a triple jointed freak ;D

Been wondering the same myself. I got the bulb holder out, but getting it in again may prove interesting.

Wow need to be triple jointed, definately don't stand a chance of doing it, looks like a strip down then. Well done for getting the old bulb out, I can't even manage that, must be my little fat fingers.

I believe someone here has managed to do it, but the easy solution is probably to take the ash tray out.

I just went out and thought I'd have a go before I stripped it down and actually managed to do it, only took a couple of minutes. It really doesn't seem that hard unless I got very lucky. The interior of the ashtray lifts out to enable you to empty it and with that out there is a gap which allows access for a small screwdriver to assist with removing the bulb and guiding the new one in. Could never have done it without that though.
