1) can i take the leather seats out of the 2.9 and put them in the 2.0 ? Yes....it has been done a few times by members on here

2)will the remote from the 2.9 work on the 2.0 ? Yes...follow the instructions at www.fordscorpio.co.uk/remote.htm to reprogramme it to the 2.0

3) is it easy to remove and fit the cd changer ? Yes...the wiring from the head unit to the boot is already in place. (I think it is taped up behind the glovebox if there isn't one already fitted. Remove the brackets and trim and refit to the 2.0. All the corresponding captive nuts will be in place to accept the brackets. If the radio in the 2.0 isn't cd compatible, this can be swapped for the one out of your 2.9 If you need the radio code(s), PM me and I will send you the software to get the code from the serial numbers.

4) what other things could i use from the 2.9 ? i have thought about the engine and my m8 says not a problem
but to be honest i am not too bothered fuel might last a little longer hehe I would stick to the 2.0. Better fuel economy and with the cost of fuel rising all the time, a much better option in my opinion of course!!

5) what is the 2.9i worth for spares ? As a guide, I just bought a 2.3 R reg facelift for £175.00 non runner and worth more in spares so far!!

ady, keep me posted on the cd changer?

i am currently trying to get mine to work (it was missing when i got the car), seems to be not recognised by the head unit (the head unit is the cd changer type). think it may be because the remote stalk on the steering column has been snipped (it feeds into the cd loom). if you dont have that on the 2.0 might be an issue for the 2.9 head unit looking for it....

My Exec has the stalk but was never fitted with a cd changer :-/

ok got the seats in.
all electrics are now working :D

and the remote fob is ok
took a few goes but all is ok now ;D
cd changer is a diff story tho hehe
i had to take the loom form the old car
so i have yet to fit it but i will have a go l8er today.

i will be taking a look at the rest of the car to see what other mods i can do hehe.
