Title: Fuel filter location Post by Kjetil S on Jul 9th, 2006, 6:38pm Hi all. Just wondering where, exactly, is the fuel filter located (16v)? I seem to recall that it was located on a mounting bracket next to the right rear wheel on my 2.4 granny, but I'm not sure. Knowing where it is will probably make the whole operation a bit quicker to complete ;D |

For some reason, the fuel lines seems to align a little better if the mounting bracket is mounted the correct way (which I discovered the hard way ;)) For anyone wondering, the metal piece aligning the fuel filter to the bracket should be on the back side of the filter, not in the front ;D Will take it for a test drive now, and see if it made any difference. |

Title: Re: Fuel filter location Post by Kjetil S on Jul 9th, 2006, 9:39pm update: It does seem to pull stronger, especially in the hills, so then it wasn't a complete waste of 30 minutes ;D Don't know when it was last changed, but looking at the coat of dirt on the old filter, and knowing how well the previous owner had taken care of her, it could have been there a while. |
