Title: Re: Wing mirror Post by Snoopy on Jul 26th, 2006, 7:16am Just very carefully lever it out its held in with plastic clips . I will try to put a picture up later . It should come out quite easily , and then behind it are two electrical connections which just pull off . Thats about it . |

Title: Re: Wing mirror Post by Snoopy on Jul 26th, 2006, 7:24am There is a motor behind that with MORE connections to it I wil take some pictures later if I can find the OLD one I have. But you CANNOT take the mechanism off the car without removing the whole thing from the car. The glass is the only bit you can take off with it on the car. |

Title: Re: Wing mirror Post by cossieguy on Jul 26th, 2006, 7:50am Looks like i can get my hands on another mirror so i'll try that and see if the problem persists if it does i guess it must be the control module or the wiring to the passenger door. It's really not that serious but annoying none the less. |

Title: Re: Wing mirror Post by Tompion on Jul 26th, 2006, 9:19am Mine didn't return properly, it was grit in the ball & socket arrangement that the mirror swivels on - the motor couldn't overcome the drag. I found rubbing graphite powder into it worked but oil didn't. Dave |
