I think I'm finally going to admit defeat with my dead 12v Ultima and break for 'supplies'

I may have a '97 Ghia X being lined up. I suspect it only has the basic A/C as I haven't seen it yet? The question is can I just swap over the controls or is it a major rebuild??

Things like auto rear view mirror, dipping pass mirror, fog lights and missing leather might mean recreating an Ultima is a step to far.

Any ideas?

Well you may be surprised, depends upon the build list and options ordered. Check it our first and let us know, the Ghia X in common Ford speak in any other model would be the very highest spec available.

You have probably already looked at this:

I am not aware of anybody who has succesfully upgraded the standard A/C to the Ultima Climate Control, but your email may flush somebody out who knows.

I don't think its an easy one.

Having viewed the Ghia X tonight and sussed it out it is a major rebuild required. No loom or UV sensor for things like the auto rear view mirror and heated seats etc.

Forget it. Ultima required.

'98 spec 2.3 in Panther black needed please??
